When we started this journey as a team we knew that it would require examining our current policies and practices. Change can be hard but we were up for the challenge. The task at hand seems big at first but worth every step to achieve this Gold Standard in Maternal Child Health Care. Administration and management support is vital to our success and Madison Hospital has the best leadership on board from day one. The results of our hard work and training have empowered our community. Evidence based care practices set forth by the World Health Organization has resulted in strong foundations, education for our staff and a thriving community. One of the secrets to success in being a Baby Friendly Hospital is to strive each and every day to implement the ten steps and give the best patient care to our community. We do the right thing because it is the right thing to do.
